PVDF

PVDF (vinylidene polyfluoride – natural and brown colour)

A fluoride material (in many cases called crystalline PTFE) characterised by good mechanical properties and high chemical resistance. Used in industries like: chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical and metallurgy.

Characteristics:

  • Low flammability
  • Good electroinsulation properties
  • High chemical resistance
  • Resistant to hydrolysis
  • Work range of operational temperatures ( -60˚C to 150˚C)
  • High stiffness and mechanical resistance (higher than in PFE)
  • High resistance to UV
  • Non-flammable

Use:

  • Heavy-duty rollers
  • Pump and valves elements
  • Mechanical seals elements
  • Components of machines and devices exposed to harsh chemical environment
  • Components of structures that are exposed to atmospheric agents
