PVDF (vinylidene polyfluoride – natural and brown colour)
A fluoride material (in many cases called crystalline PTFE) characterised by good mechanical properties and high chemical resistance. Used in industries like: chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical and metallurgy.
Characteristics:
- Low flammability
- Good electroinsulation properties
- High chemical resistance
- Resistant to hydrolysis
- Work range of operational temperatures ( -60˚C to 150˚C)
- High stiffness and mechanical resistance (higher than in PFE)
- High resistance to UV
- Non-flammable
Use:
- Heavy-duty rollers
- Pump and valves elements
- Mechanical seals elements
- Components of machines and devices exposed to harsh chemical environment
- Components of structures that are exposed to atmospheric agents
